Who's behind this?
I’m Basti and I’m the face behind Brandstifter. I live in beautiful Hamburg with my wife and our two teenage daughters.
Typical Hamburg specialities include Labskaus, Pannfisch and Franzbrötchen. Chilli peppers aren’t usually on the menu here in the chilly north. I’d like to change that with my sauces.
For me, chillies are the most exciting fruits nature has to offer. In keeping with this, I love spicy food and swear by the invigorating effect of a delicious hot sauce.
With Brandstifter, I want to show that chillies don’t have to be loud and over-the-top, but can be subtle, balanced and absolutely brilliant! I want to share chilli sauces that challenge without overwhelming, and which have nuances of flavour that evoke beautiful moments and places.
With this in mind, I’d like to warmly invite you to try Brandstifter sauces and take a journey with your senses.
